Group Multiple Add-ins into One Macro Script Ribbon

Organize Your Excel Workspace
If you're working with multiple Excel add-ins, things can get cluttered fast. Each add-in installs its own ribbon, button, or tab—and before you know it, you're clicking all over the place just to find what you need.
The Master Ribbon Loader solves this problem beautifully by consolidating all your compatible Excel add-ins into one clean, unified tab.
What Is the Master Ribbon Loader?
The Master Ribbon Loader is a lightweight .xlam
(Excel add-in) file that acts as a central hub for all your other MS Excel add-ins. Instead of each tool having its own tab, the Master Ribbon displays relevant buttons under one single tab called “MS” or “Master”.
It gives users a streamlined interface without losing access to any of the features offered by their installed add-ins.
How It Works
Here’s what the Master Ribbon Loader does behind the scenes:
-
Loads the Master Ribbon when Excel opens
-
Detects installed and active add-ins
-
Displays or hides buttons dynamically depending on what’s available
-
Launches the appropriate macro from the installed add-in when a button is clicked
Step-by-step installation guide:
The included file is included with every product
-
Download the
MasterRibbonLoader.xlam
file from your customer portal or product delivery link.
- Save it in a trusted location on your computer (e.g., your “Excel Add-ins” folder).
- Open Excel, then go to File > Options > Add-Ins.
- At the bottom, next to Manage, choose Excel Add-ins and click Go.
- Click Browse, select the MasterRibbonLoader file, and make sure it’s checked.
- Click OK, and you're done!
- You should now see a new ribbon tab named MS, which will automatically list the tools you have installed.
If you don't see the tools listed in the MS Ribbon, close the Excel file and reopen it
Bonus: Add-ins Install Automatically
Once the Master Ribbon Loader is installed:
-
Any new compatible add-ins you install will be added to the ribbon automatically.
-
Buttons disappear if the corresponding add-in is uninstalled or disabled.
-
You only need to install it once, and it will adapt as your toolkit grows.
Why This Matters
-
Saves time — No more clicking through 5 tabs to find one tool
-
Organized workspace — Everything in one place
-
User-friendly — Great for teams or clients using your templates
-
Easier training — Simplifies onboarding and tool explanation
Whether you're a solo analyst or running operations across teams, this simple setup makes Excel feel custom-made for you.
Final Thoughts
You don’t need to be a developer to make Excel feel powerful and customized.
With just a few clicks, you can organize all your add-ins and macros under a personalized MS Ribbon tab—making Excel faster, smarter, and easier to use.
Less clutter. More productivity.
