What Are MS Add-ins?

MS Add-ins are custom tools created using Macro Script that enhance Excel’s capabilities—without needing to write complex VBA yourself.

 

Step-by-Step: How to Install

1. Download the Add-in

Once you've purchased or downloaded an MS add-in, save the .xlam or .xlsm file to a safe location on your computer.

2. Open Excel and Go to Add-ins

In Excel, click on:

  • File > Options
  • Select Add-ins
  • At the bottom, next to “Manage,” choose Excel Add-ins and click Go…

3. Browse and Load the Add-in

Click Browse, locate the downloaded .xlam file, and click OK.

4. Enable the Add-in

After loading, check the box next to your newly added MS Add-in to enable it. It will now appear in your ribbon or start menu.

5. That’s It – You're Ready!

You can now access all the features the MS Add-in provides, whether it’s automation, formatting tools, or custom workflows.
